Thumb is a mobile SSH and Mosh terminal built for thumb-first, one-handed operation on phones. Large touch targets, bottom quick-access bar, swipe-back navigation, and instant session switching make remote server management natural on small screens. Secure credential vault (local secure storage, not in SQLite/logs/errors/state); TOFU host trust (direct for known, hard-reject for changed, explicit replacement); ordered secure cleanup with no residual traces. High-frequency TTY flows straight into the adapter for responsive input. Mobile adaptation: CJK/emoji, IME, hardware keyboard, VoiceOver/TalkBack accessibility. Security: plaintext passwords, private keys, and passphrases never enter SQLite, logs, error messages, or widget state; redacted domain objects; sanitized failure taxonomy (SessionFailure / StorageFailure). Tests use only disposable loopback fixtures and fixed test-only credentials.
