Grimoire is a character sheet app for 5.5e (D&D 2024) and the 2014 rules, built to help you run your character at the table. It does the arithmetic for you and leaves you room to personalise your character and deal with the randomness of a real game. WHAT IT DOES • Builds a character and keeps it for its whole life: create, play, roll, level up, rest, feats, spells and ability improvements. • Works out every derived number from the rules: Armour Class, saving throws, skills, passive scores, initiative, speeds, hit point maximum, carrying capacity, attunement, and spell save DC and spell attack per source. • Shows its working. Tap any number to see where each part came from, and switch a contribution off or override the total. • Rolls your dice. The roller lists this character's attacks, saves, skills and spells. Advantage and disadvantage keep both dice so you can see what you avoided, and a natural 20 doubles the right dice. • Tracks hit points, death saves, exhaustion, conditions, resistances, class resources and inventory. • Everything is editable. If your table rules it differently, change the number and write down why. • Add your own features, spells, resources and magic items when the catalogue does not have what you need. • Export and import a character as a file, so your backup is always yours to keep. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It is not a rulebook. Feature and spell text is written for this app in summary form: enough to remind you what something does, not a replacement for the books. It does not track you. No analytics, no advertising, no accounts to sign in to.
