Play Go, also known as Baduk or Weiqi, on your phone: face a capable on-device AI offline, play two people on one device, or choose a cloud AI when connected. Use a short break for a quick game, practise without a network, or reopen a saved record to replay the turning point. Features: • 20 academy courses and 84 exercises; 12 foundation courses are free, plus the first exercise in each tactics topic, for 44 free exercises • 9x9, 13x13, and 19x19 boards, local AI, and pass-and-play • Phone KataGo generates candidates before a selected cloud model is used • Saved records, step-by-step replay, variations, and result sharing • Nonmembers get up to 2 cloud games per UTC day; a completed rewarded ad adds +2 games. Opened cloud opponents are unlimited for members • Three undos per game: nonmembers unlock them with a rewarded ad; members receive them directly. Eligible nonmembers may see automatic app-open ads; members are exempt • Local and hybrid leaderboards are separate; assisted games are unranked Offline games, lessons, and settings stay on the device by default. Cloud play asks first for consent: phone KataGo receives the board and move history and generates candidate evaluations; when model selection is needed, only the board, komi, colors, and candidates go to the model you choose. A single reliable candidate or model failure falls back to the on-device engine. Ratings are informal and do not certify playing strength. The monthly Pass is an auto-renewing subscription; Google Play shows the price and account settings manage it.
