About this app
Measure magnetic fields, detect nearby metal changes and save scan history.
EMF Detector: Metal Scanner turns your phone's built-in magnetometer into a practical magnetic-field measuring tool. View live readings, monitor changes over time, and check how nearby objects affect the magnetic field around your device. TWO SCANNING MODES EMF Meter View the total magnetic-field strength detected by your phone in real time. Metal Scanner Calibrate a baseline and measure magnetic changes caused by nearby metal objects, magnets, speakers, motors, chargers, electronics, and other magnetic sources. KEY FEATURES • Live magnetic-field meter • Real-time graph with minimum, average, current, and peak readings • Measurements in microtesla, milligauss, or gauss • Calibrated Metal Scanner mode • Adjustable Low, Medium, and High sensitivity • Sound and vibration detection feedback • Configurable sensor sampling rate • Named scan history stored on your device • Search and filter saved scans • Compare two recorded scans • Export scan history as a CSV report • Share individual scan results • Light and dark appearance modes • Keep-screen-on option for longer scanning sessions • Built-in usage guide and scanner-mode explanation HOW TO USE 1. Select EMF Meter or Metal Scanner. 2. Calibrate the Metal Scanner away from metal, magnets, and electronics. 3. Start scanning and move your phone slowly near the object. 4. Watch the meter, signal level, and live graph. 5. End the scan and optionally save it with a custom name. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS This app requires a working magnetometer sensor. Sensor quality and readings vary between phones, cases, nearby electronics, calibration conditions, and the surrounding environment. The Metal Scanner responds to magnetic-field changes and may not detect every type of metal. This app does not measure every form of electromagnetic radiation and is not a replacement for professional electrical, radiation, medical, construction, or workplace safety equipment.
