Tenkey is a calculator vault that hides your photos and videos behind a real, working calculator. Type your PIN on the keys, press equals, and your private photo vault opens. Type anything else and it just does the arithmetic, because it is a real calculator and that is the whole trick. Everything in the vault is encrypted on your phone with AES-256 — no account, no cloud, no storage permission and no subscription. HOW IT KEEPS YOUR PHOTOS PRIVATE Photos and videos you add are encrypted on your device with AES-256. The key is locked with your PIN and with a second key that Android's hardware keystore will not hand out, so opening the vault needs both your PIN and this particular phone. Tenkey then offers to remove the original from your gallery, so the picture stops appearing in your camera roll, your photo app, and anything else that reads it. That is how it hides photos and hides videos properly: not by tucking them into a folder, but by taking them out of the gallery altogether. There is no account, no sign-in, no upload and no cloud. Nothing you put in the photo vault leaves your phone, because there is nowhere for it to go. PERMISSIONS IT DOES NOT ASK FOR Tenkey requests no storage permission at all. Adding a photo goes through Android's own picker, which hands over only the files you selected. Removing the original goes through Android's own confirmation dialog, which shows you exactly what is about to be deleted. Tenkey never gets to browse your gallery, and it cannot see a single photo you did not choose. It does not ask for Accessibility access. It does not hide other apps, change its own icon, or read your notifications. A vault that needs half your phone to work is not a vault. HONEST ABOUT ADS Tenkey is free because ads pay for it, and it is better to say so plainly. There is one banner, below the grid inside the vault. There is a full-screen ad after a batch of files has finished being added — never while something is importing, and never over a photo you are looking at. And a full-screen ad can appear when you open Tenkey or come back to it after a while, on the calculator before you start typing your PIN: never while you type it, never while you set it up, and never over your vault or your photos. That is all of them. If you would rather not see any for a while, watch one short ad and everything goes quiet for thirty minutes. If you would rather not see them at all, one optional, one-time purchase removes the banner and the full-screen ads for good. There is no subscription, no premium tier, no storage limit and no "unlock to continue". Every vault feature is free. BEFORE YOU START Your PIN is not stored anywhere, only a hash of it, and it cannot be reset by us or by anyone. If you forget it, what is in the vault stays locked. Tenkey says this during setup rather than burying it in a FAQ. You can take anything back out to your Downloads folder whenever you like, so nothing is ever trapped. A calculator that adds up, and a secret photo vault nobody has to know about.
