First release: scan nearby Bluetooth devices, track with a proximity ring and save your earbuds.
Find lost earbuds & headphones by live signal. No subscription, no paywall.
Lost an earbud in the couch, the car or an open field? Budsonar is a Bluetooth finder that shows how close your device is — as a real signal number, not a guess. HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap Start scan. Bluetooth devices around you appear, strongest signal first. 2. Tap your earbuds, headphones or watch to start tracking. 3. Walk slowly. The ring grows and turns from cool to hot. When it reads Very close, look down. WHY PEOPLE SWITCH TO BUDSONAR • No subscription, no free trial that turns into a charge. Every feature is in the app from day one. • Honest numbers. You see the live dBm value and a distance range like "about 1–2 m (estimate)". We never claim 1-meter accuracy. • Getting closer or moving away — an arrow tells you which way the signal is going. • Save your devices. Star your earbuds once and give them a name. Next time, find my earbuds is one tap from My devices — no hunting through a list of every Bluetooth device in the building. • Unnamed devices are labeled by type and the last 4 characters of their address, so you can tell what you are tracking. • Hide weak signals and search by name. Useful in apartments and offices. • Signal dropped? Budsonar tells you to stay put for a few seconds instead of starting over. • Vibrate and beep faster as you get closer, so you can search without staring at the screen. • Screen stays on while tracking. WORKS WITH Wireless earbuds, Bluetooth headphones, smartwatches, fitness bands, speakers, game controllers and other Bluetooth LE devices that are powered on. Compatible with popular earbuds such as Galaxy Buds and AirPods-style earbuds when they are advertising. TIPS THAT ACTUALLY HELP • Disconnect the earbuds from your phone first — connected buds often stay silent. • Open the charging case, or take one bud out. • Turn 360° slowly. Pockets, sofas and walls weaken the signal. • A completely dead battery sends no signal, so check the last place you used it. PRIVACY No account and no sign-up. On Android 12 and newer Budsonar does not ask for your location — Bluetooth is used only to measure signal strength. Your saved devices stay on your phone. Budsonar is free to use and supported by ads. Find my headphones, find my watch, find a lost Bluetooth device — one simple scanner for all of them.
