Common distractions are suggested first, or select everything in one tap. • Set the time: from 5 minutes to 7 days. • Back it with a pledge: $5, $10, $15, $20, $30, $40, $50, $75 or $100. • Lock. Open a locked app and a calm full-screen lock with a countdown reminds you of your promise. SELF-CONTROL, NOT JUST A TIMER • While a detox runs, the settings that could switch the app off are locked too, so there's no quick escape. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the rest of Settings keep working. • Before you pay to unlock, you stop and confirm that you're breaking your own promise.
