Understand your TV's connection with Internet Check TV. Measure internet performance, review your past tests and see how much Wi-Fi data your apps have used, all with your TV remote. PRESS OK TO TEST A central circular control starts a real download, upload and latency measurement. Large side-by-side speed readings, a radial indicator and a progress display make the test easy to follow from your sofa. Press Back to cancel at any time. CONNECTION DETAILS See HTTPS request latency, jitter, your connection type and available network-provider information. View your public IP address when you choose to reveal it. SD, HD, 4K and 8K indicators offer approximate download-bandwidth guidance; they are not actual playback tests or guarantees. WI-FI DATA BY APP Grant Android Usage access to view system-reported Wi-Fi totals and a ranked grid of application data usage. Choose today, yesterday, the last 7 days, the last 30 days or custom dates. Open an entry to see received and sent bytes. Android may group apps that share a user identifier or hide some app names. YOUR RESULTS, ON YOUR TV Keep the latest 200 completed tests in local history. Review individual results or compare average speeds grouped by network provider and connection type. Delete the saved results from Settings whenever you want. DESIGNED FOR YOUR REMOTE Navigate clear tabs for Speed test, Data usage, Results and Settings with D-pad controls. The app requires no account, phone companion, advertisements, subscriptions or purchases. BEFORE YOU TEST Pause streaming and other heavy network activity. A test uses real internet traffic: up to 200 MB of downloaded payload and 100 MB uploaded, plus network overhead. Charges may apply on metered connections. Most tests finish within about 30 seconds; slow requests have a 36-second overall limit. Leaving the speed screen or app stops an active test. UNDERSTAND THE LIMITS Wi-Fi usage requires Android Usage access and device support. Ethernet traffic is not included in the usage totals, although speed tests work over the active internet connection, including Ethernet. Recent usage can appear after a delay and may differ from router or provider billing counters. Network tests and provider information use third-party HTTPS services that receive your public IP address and test requests. Results vary with your TV, local network, VPN, route and endpoint availability. The app keeps result history and app-usage information on the TV, with no developer-operated collection backend.
