BackTrack is an offline GPS navigator and compass for hikers, hunters, mushroom pickers, anglers, kayakers and anyone who needs to find their way back. No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Just GPS, a compass, an offline map and your saved points. ▸ A REAL MAP THAT WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL The map of the world is free for everyone and shows roads and terrain everywhere on earth. Draw a frame around the ground you care about and download it once: from then on the map draws with no signal and asks the network for nothing. Your first saved area is free and comes in full detail — every path, every building, every house number. ▸ MARK A POINT Tap MARK POINT to save where you are standing, with a name, one of twenty icons and an optional note. The icon shows on the map, so the spring, the car and the hazard look different at a glance. Mark your car before heading into the forest, a good fishing spot, where the mushrooms were. ▸ WALK AWAY, THEN COME BACK Tap BACK TO LAST POINT and the compass turns into an arrow: direction and distance to your target, nothing else to work out. When you get there the app rings and vibrates, and the target clears itself. ▸ RECORD YOUR TRACK Hold RECORD and BackTrack records your whole route — distance, time, elevation gain, average and top speed. Stop it, name it, walk it again another day, or walk it in reverse. ▸ FOLLOW A ROUTE, INCLUDING A LOOP Import a GPX, KML or KMZ route and follow it. BackTrack recognises a loop and does not declare you finished the moment you stand on the start line. Pick any point on the line and it takes you there by the shorter way round. ▸ WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG An emergency screen that works before you have to think. Your position in six notations at once — decimal, DMS, degrees and decimal minutes, UTM, MGRS and Plus Codes — with the age and accuracy of the fix written into the text, so nobody reads out a position from twenty minutes ago as if it were current. One tap copies it all. The emergency numbers are the ones for the country you are standing in, mountain and water rescue included. ▸ BACKTRACK PRO — ONE PAYMENT, NO SUBSCRIPTION PRO adds the fine detail to the online map and lets you save as many offline areas as you like, anywhere in the world. Everything else stays free forever: compass, waypoints, tracks, navigation, GPX import and export, and one saved area. ▸ FOUR COMPASS STYLES Classic, Military, Minimal or Aviation. All rotate with your heading, and all can show the map on the dial while you walk. ▸ IN YOUR LANGUAGE English, Polish and German, with layouts that stay readable at large system font sizes. ▸ NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE No accounts, no sign-up, no email, no cloud, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporters, no third-party trackers.
