About this app
A time-based puzzle
- The board is an N×N grid split into N irregular colored regions. - Place exactly one crown per row, one per column, and one per colored region. - No two crowns may touch, including diagonally. - Every puzzle has exactly one solution, reachable by pure logic — you never have to guess. How you play - Tap a cell to cycle it: blank → ✕ (a spot you've ruled out) → crown → blank. - Tap and slide across the board to sweep a row of ✕ marks at once (or wipe them if you start on an ✕). - A running timer tracks each solve. - Undo, Clear, and New puzzle are always one tap away. - Broken rules highlight in red the moment they occur, so you can catch mistakes early (toggleable). Features - Three difficulties plus Custom — Easy (7×7), Medium (8×8), Hard (9×9), or a custom board anywhere from 5×5 up to 12×12. Bigger boards are slower to crack and get hard fast. - Procedurally generated — an endless supply of unique, logically-solvable puzzles; no repeats, no puzzle packs to run out of. - Resume anywhere — leave mid-puzzle and pick up exactly where you left off, timer and all. - Hints — stuck? Reveal one correct crown for a 30-second time penalty. Your hint count shows on the win screen. - Auto-place ✕ — optional assist that fills in the cells a new crown rules out, and clears them again if you remove that crown. - Crown styles — choose how your placed piece looks: the app's own crown, a chess king, a queen, a star, or a diamond. - How to Play — a built-in tutorial with a worked example board, reachable from the menu or a ? button mid-game. - Clean, colorful design — vivid, clearly distinguishable region colors; light and dark theme; no clutter. Why people like it It's a five-minute brain-sharpener with no fail state and no randomness — just you and the logic. Every deduction is forced by the rules, so finishing always feels earned. Short enough for a coffee break, deep enough on 11×11 and 12×12 to really chew on.
