Local playback, Google Cast, and offline chapters on your Wear OS watch.
Sliver turns the audiobook files you already own into a clean, private, chapter-aware library. Pick one or more folders and press play - no account, no uploads, no subscription. YOUR FILES, YOUR LIBRARY Sliver plays single-file M4B and M4A audiobooks, and it also understands folders of MP3 files: it groups them into one book with proper chapters and continuous progress. Embedded metadata, artwork, and chapters are read automatically, and books without covers get clean placeholder art. Search by title or author, and your library keeps the books you played most recently at the top. Everything is wrapped in a Material 3 interface that adapts to your device's colors, in light or dark. LISTEN YOUR WAY • Browse titles, authors, artwork, chapters, and listening progress at a glance. • Jump between chapters or skip backward and forward with configurable intervals. • Set playback speed per book and skip silences to listen faster. • Smart rewind: when you come back after a pause, Sliver backs up a little - more after a long break - and resumes at a natural pause in speech, so you never return mid-sentence. • Jumped to the wrong place? One tap undoes an accidental seek. • Mark books as finished and keep your library tidy. • Resume exactly where you left off, even after closing the app or restarting your phone. • Sleep timer with 15, 30, 45, and 60 minute presets - or stop at the end of the chapter - with a gentle fade-out. • Full Android system media controls, with playback progress in the notification. MADE FOR BIG SCREENS TOO On a tablet, your library sits beside Now Playing, with the chapter list and playback settings right next to the controls. On a foldable, Sliver splits its screens at the hinge, and a half-open device turns into a tabletop player. CAST AROUND YOUR HOME Send the current book to a Google Cast receiver straight from the Now Playing screen. Sliver carries over the book and the exact position, while your phone securely serves the audio over your home network - your files never leave it. TAKE IT TO YOUR WATCH Instead of copying a whole audiobook, pick only the chapters you want, or a listening time. Sliver prepares compact audio files and transfers them to your Wear OS watch for true offline playback - leave your phone at home and keep listening. On the watch, a resume card takes you straight back into the last chapter, each book opens to its chapters, and a swipe removes what you have finished. Progress syncs both ways: the watch reports what you listened to, and chapters already on the watch move to where you stopped on your phone. Note: Use the Sliver phone app to select and transfer chapters before listening on your watch. Wear OS features require a compatible paired watch. Cast playback requires the phone and receiver to be connected to the same local network.
