Keep selected contacts separate from your everyday address book. Hidden Room is a private contact vault for journalists, advocates, travelers and anyone who wants more control over sensitive personal or professional contacts. Your contacts, on your phone Enter contacts manually. Store multiple phone numbers, messaging IDs, email addresses, postal addresses and websites for each person. Search your vault, or add ten clearly fictional sample contacts to explore the app. The core vault works offline. There is no account, contact import, cloud sync, advertising, analytics or developer contact database. Vault records use AES 256 GCM authenticated encryption. Your six digit passcode and device bound Android Keystore material protect the vault key. Android backup and device transfer are disabled. There is no passcode recovery or cloud backup. Uninstalling the app permanently loses the vault. Reveal and share deliberately Names and details stay masked until you hold to reveal them. Release to hide them again. Sharing starts off. When enabled, swipe a card right to copy, or tap the phone button beside a number to open the dialer. You press Call in the phone app. Contact actions can open a supported messenger, email or website after confirmation. Hidden Room locks before copying or handing a detail to another app. Clipboard clearing is requested after 30 seconds, subject to Android's controls. Optional address suggestions send only the exact query you confirm to Android's system geocoder, which may use an external provider. You can save an address without suggestions. Hidden Room does not request your location. Choose your access and deletion controls Use optional biometric unlock, a randomized keypad and Auto Lock choices from Immediately to 10 minutes. Android secure window protections limit standard screenshots, screen recording and recent app previews. Choose from 48 interface languages, with support for larger text and right to left layouts. Deletion controls are optional and irreversible. Emergency Erase requires a deliberate hold. Wrong passcode erase can delete the vault after 5, 10 or 20 failed entries. Automatic deletion offers 1 day, 3 days, 30 days or 365 days without a successful unlock. It runs after a correct passcode unlock when the trusted interval has elapsed, not simply when the app opens. Restarting the phone can postpone it. An optional Emergency Passcode permanently deletes the real vault and opens a prepared vault of fictional contacts. Anyone who enters or guesses that code can trigger deletion, even during a retry wait. Biometric unlock and the other automatic erase policies are turned off. Disabling Emergency Passcode does not turn those protections back on automatically. Optional Google Play tips support development. They unlock no features and are not subscriptions. Know the limits Hidden Room cannot erase information already copied or shared with another app, prevent an external camera, guarantee personal safety or protect a compromised device. Calls, messages, notifications, clipboard history and outside backups may leave records beyond its control. Use a trusted keyboard and keep your phone secure.
