Keep every part of your money clear. Buckets is a manual envelope budget app for people who share one bank balance across different people, bills, goals, or responsibilities. Give each purpose its own bucket and record what money comes in, what money goes out, and why. Track each bucket independently • Create buckets for bills, family money, savings, projects, or any other purpose • See the current balance and starting amount separately • Keep a clear history of every money-in and money-out transaction • Add notes and dates so you remember what each entry was for Record what actually happened Buckets is a manual budget tracker, not a bank connection. It does not sync with your bank, reconcile your whole account, calculate a whole-account “free to spend” amount, or create monthly budgets. You stay in control of the records for each bucket. Move money between buckets Move an allocation from one bucket to another with linked money-out and money-in entries. Review both resulting balances before confirming the move. Handle shortfalls honestly A bucket can go negative when that is what really happened. Before saving, the app warns you about the shortfall and asks for deliberate confirmation. Negative buckets remain clearly flagged and show the amount to put back.
