tuBEAT is an offline music player and video player for the songs, mp3s and videos already on your phone. No account, no subscription, nothing for sale: you open it, and your own library is right there. One app, two libraries: a local music player and mp3 player for your tracks, and a video player for your clips. Playing them never needs a connection. WHAT A STOCK MUSIC PLAYER DOESN'T DO - Waveform seek bar, drawn from the track's own sound. Instead of the thin gray line you usually drag, you can see the quiet intro, the loud middle and the fade-out. - Crossfade, 1 to 5 seconds, so one song melts into the next. Or gapless playback instead, which skips quiet endings so an album runs without dead air. You pick one; either turns the other off. - Synced lyrics that scroll line by line with the music. If the timing drifts, the built-in editor lets you nudge one line or shift every line at once, and save the fix. - Sleep timer, with minute and hour presets plus End of track. YOUR OFFLINE LIBRARY, KEPT YOUR WAY - Four tabs: Music, Video, Playlists and Artists, plus a mini player that follows you around the app. - Browse by folder, exactly the way you filed things. Play a whole folder in one tap, or keep one out of the library. - Build playlists, rename them, and drag songs into the order you want. Favorites and Recent fill themselves in. - Hide the ringtones, voice notes and stray clips you never want to see, and put any of them back later. Hiding tidies your lists; it isn't a lock or a password. - Detailed Scan skips short recordings and tiny files, so notification blips stop turning up between songs. - A notification when new music or video lands on your phone, with one tap to play the whole batch. - Search songs, artists, playlists and videos, by typing or by voice. - Fix a wrong title, artist, album or genre, or add missing cover art, one track at a time, saved into the file itself (MP3, FLAC, M4A). - When the same artist shows up spelled three different ways, tuBEAT offers to merge them. - Export every playlist to .m3u or .json, restore from a file, or set a daily, weekly or monthly backup. MUSIC PLAYBACK - A background music player: the music keeps going with the screen off, controls right in the notification and on the lock screen. - Pauses the moment you pull your headphones out. - A play queue you can reorder, remove from and clear, and it survives closing the app. Send a song to the front of it, or the end, from any list or folder. - Shuffle, repeat one or repeat all. - Opens music and video files from any app: tap a track in Files or a chat and it plays here, in your library. - Press play on your headphones and tuBEAT picks up where you stopped, even from closed. - Or let it keep playing when another app chimes in. THE VIDEO PLAYER An offline video player with its own library: full screen, picture-in-picture, playback speed, aspect ratio (fit, fill, zoom), 10-second skips, and a screen lock so a stray touch can't pause the film. IN THE CAR Browse your library on an Android Auto screen. And when the car has no screen of its own, driving mode is a big-control layout that offers to open itself when a Bluetooth audio device connects and remembers your answer. YOUR MONTH IN MUSIC Listening Summary shows how long you listened this month, your day streak, what you played most, and a genre breakdown. Share it as a picture, in a choice of frame styles. WHATEVER PHONE YOU'RE ON - Runs on Android 7.0 and up. - Bigger text, stronger contrast, calmer animation and a compact player. PLAINLY, WHAT THIS IS tuBEAT is a local music player and video player for the library you built yourself. It isn't a music service, it never brings in files of its own, and it has no equalizer or casting to a TV. Playback needs no connection. Lyrics and cover-art suggestions are looked up online as tracks play, and the app sends anonymous crash and usage diagnostics. Free. No account, no subscription, nothing for sale.
