- Check whether your left and right speakers, earpiece and microphone work.
Check left, right, earpiece and mic. Tests start right away.
Find out whether your phone's speakers and microphone work. Open the app and start a test right away. There is no sign-in. ■ Left and right - Play a short tone on the left channel, the right channel, or both. - With headphones on, this shows whether each side works. - On a phone with one speaker, both channels come from the same place. The app tells you so. ■ Earpiece - Play a tone through the small speaker you hold to your ear during calls. - The tone is quiet and short, and uses the call volume. - Available on Android 12 and later, on phones that have an earpiece. ■ Frequency sweep - Hold the slider to play any tone from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, or let the app sweep from low to high in 12 seconds. - Listen for rattling or buzzing. The current frequency is shown in large numbers. - Very low and very high tones are often inaudible on small speakers. The app says where that is normal. ■ Microphone - A level bar moves as you speak. - Record 5 seconds and hear it played back right away. - Try the default microphone or the one used for video recording. - The recording is kept in memory only. It is not saved to a file or sent anywhere, and it is erased when you leave the screen. ■ Result - You mark each test yourself: you heard it, or you did not. - The result screen lists each test with the date and your device model. - Share the result as one picture, for example when you sell or buy a used phone. - If something did not work, the app lists simple things to try first. ■ Good to know - The microphone permission is asked only when you start the microphone test. Every other test works without it. - The app shows where the sound is going: phone speaker, wired headphones, Bluetooth or USB. - This app helps you check. It does not clean, repair or make anything louder, and it is not a hearing test. - The level bar is a relative value, not a measurement.
