Nine cats, one painted home, and a few cozy number puzzles along the way. Catkuro is kakuro, the number crossword, turned into a journey. Fill each run of white squares so it adds up to its clue, and never repeat a digit inside a run. That is the whole rule. Pure logic, no guessing, and nothing harder than adding. Start with four feline friends, bring five more home through Act 1, then fill their home with cozy places and favorite things. STARTS TINY. GROWS WITH YOU. Your first board is a handful of squares and the digits 1 to 4. The story adds a digit here, a row there, a longer run when you are ready, so by the final chapter you are solving grids that would have looked impossible on day one, and they feel like the natural next step. You do not need to know how to play kakuro. The path teaches you. A JOURNEY IN FIVE ACTS Twenty-five chapters in five storybook scenes, and a trail of paw prints that fills in as you go. Act 1 brings five more cats home. The later Acts fill the house with cozy places and favorite things. Every chapter ends with something new in the scene, a little confetti, and one more reason to solve the next board.
