The sunset time tells you when. Find my Sun shows you where. Among hills and mountains, the sun often disappears behind a ridge long before the official sunset time. Find my Sun is a sunset map built on real terrain: it shows which slopes, peaks and viewpoints keep a clear view of the setting sun, so you know where to go before you set out. SUNSET MAP • A color-coded map of the land around you: full sunset, partial (the sun hides behind a ridge, but high enough to leave a colorful sky) or blocked. • Tap any point to see what time the sun disappears behind the terrain, how many minutes before the astronomical sunset, and how reliable the data is. • Turn on “Best sunsets only” to keep just the strongest spots on the map. Find my Sun is a sunset finder for the terrain: it follows the sun's whole descent, not just the moment it sets, and traces it against Copernicus satellite elevation data (about 30 m resolution), accounting for the Earth's curvature and atmospheric refraction. Results are estimates. Single trees, buildings and other local obstacles may be missed. The app doesn't forecast clouds or weather, and doesn't guarantee that a spot is accessible or that roads and trails are open.
