I Can Work On is a shift scheduling and local jobs app. Workers mark the days they can work. Employers see who is free and ask them to work a shift with one tap. Everyone gets a push notification and replies yes or no in the app, and the calendar shows who is coming in. I Can Work On is run by Changing Our Futures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Workers are never charged and keep 100% of what they earn. WHAT IS I CAN WORK ON? An on-demand staffing and shift work app for local businesses and the people who fill their shifts. It replaces group texts and phone calls when someone calls out, a shift needs cover, or a business needs extra help today. The app has two parts: • Work: schedule people you already have. Free. • Hire: find someone new with a quick job, a long term job, or a people search. HOW DOES IT WORK? 1. Workers tap the days they are available on their calendar, up to 3 months ahead. 2. An employer taps a day and chooses "Ask who can work." 3. Everyone asked gets a push notification and answers yes or no. 4. Saying yes confirms the shift. If several people were asked, the first yes answers get the spots and the rest are told the day is covered. 5. The schedule shows each day at a glance: green is confirmed, orange is waiting, red is declined. No platform fees, no cut taken. • Connect Google Calendar to block busy days automatically. Your team gets a notification and replies in the app. To reach people you don't know yet, post a quick job. It is shown to nearby people for 24 hours. How do I find shift work near me? Mark the days you can work on your calendar and complete your profile. Employers near you can ask you directly, and the Jobs tab shows openings matched to your roles, distance and schedule. Is I Can Work On free? For workers, yes, always. For employers, scheduling your own team is free. Hire costs $9.99 per job post, or $9.99 to message someone new you found in search. Internship posts are free. How do workers get paid? Directly by the employer. I Can Work On does not take a cut of anyone's pay. How do I sign in? Continue with Google, or use your mobile number in supported countries. It is the same account as icanworkon.com. Is my information private? Yes. Employers see a masked name and phone number until you choose to connect or are hired. There are no ads and your data is not sold. Who is it for? Restaurants, cafes, retail stores, salons, dental and medical offices, clinics, offices, events, warehouses, cleaning, caregiving and seasonal work.
