Learn how U.S. trucking Hours-of-Service clocks work — a study simulator
HOS Simulator is a hands-on learning tool for U.S. over-the-road (OTR) truck drivers and students who want to understand how the federal Hours-of-Service (HOS) clocks respond to a driver's day. Build a day, drop duty statuses on a timeline, and watch the clocks react in real time — so the rules finally make sense before you're on the road. IMPORTANT — please read: This app is an EDUCATIONAL SIMULATOR, not a certified electronic logging device. It does not connect to a vehicle, it is not for recording your actual duty status, and it must not be used for roadside inspections or any official record-keeping. It is a study aid only. HOS Simulator is an independent app made by a private developer. It is NOT a government app: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a representation of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any other government entity, and it does not provide or facilitate any government service. Official government sources: The Hours-of-Service rules this app simulates are published by the FMCSA (U.S. Department of Transportation).
