Matrix Clock sets alarms in the time zone you are actually thinking in. If you work across time zones you already know the problem. Report time is in UTC, the hotel pickup is in local time, and the sim slot is in a third city. Changing your phone's clock to work it out is how people miss things. Matrix Clock lets you set each alarm against its own reference — Local, UTC (Zulu), or any city — and shows you what it means in both Zulu and local time before you save it. Your device clock is never touched. ALARMS • Set an alarm in Local, UTC (Zulu) or any world location — type "Doha", "LHR" or "EGLL" • Every alarm shows what it means in Zulu and in your local time before you save • Repeat daily, or once on a chosen date • Name them, so the list reads "Report time" and "Pickup" rather than "Alarm 1" • Daylight saving is applied for you, for the date the alarm actually falls on • Rings full screen over the lock screen, with snooze • Warns you when something would stop an alarm working — volume at zero, exact alarms not permitted, or display-over-other-apps switched off INTERNET TIME Your phone's clock drifts, and every alarm depends on it. Matrix Clock checks against public internet time servers and shows you the offset it found and when it last checked, so you can see whether the time it is working from is trustworthy instead of assuming it. IN-FLIGHT REST Divide a rest window into equal periods with a changeover between them, and set an alarm for the end of your own period. It can suggest a window from the sector — from 45 minutes after take-off to 60 minutes before landing — so the first period does not start in the climb and everyone is back and briefed for the arrival. This is a planning aid for dividing a window your crew have already agreed. It is not a flight-time-limitations calculation. It does not know your operator's minimum rest, the rest facility fitted, or whether your duty is within limits. FLIGHT AND BLOCK TIME • Block time chocks to chocks, airborne time, or both together • Split day and night by civil twilight at a position you enter, or by fixed clock times • Handles the polar cases, where the sun does not rise or does not set at all • A flight-hours calculator built for the way crew actually write times — type 45 for 45 minutes, 130 for one thirty, or 1.5 for decimal hours, then add them up ONE PURCHASE, NOTHING AFTER IT Buy it once. No account. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. No subscription. The app collects nothing about you. Your alarms stay on your device. The only thing Matrix Clock ever sends is a time request to public time servers, and that carries no information about you. Built by a working airline pilot, for the job.
