Fresh, cleaner pictures! We redrew dozens of pages: a new race car, a long-neck dino, a friendly elephant, snails, a hermit crab, a treasure chest and more. Shapes no longer show through each other, and every part joins up neatly.
Tap a shape and it fills with color. 100 coloring pages for kids ages 3-6.
Color Magic is a coloring book for small children — the kind you can hand to a three-year-old and then go and make a cup of tea. Tap inside any shape and it fills. That is the whole control scheme. There is a brush too, for scribbling, and it physically cannot cross a line, so a picture never gets away from a child who is still learning to steer. If a color ends up somewhere it shouldn't there is an undo button and an eraser, and neither of them ever wipes the whole page by accident. WHAT IS IN THE BOOK A hundred pages of hand-drawn line art with big, bold outlines. Cats, owls, bunnies, elephants, a snail, a frog, a peacock and a baby dinosaur. Race cars, a steam train, a school bus, a little digger, a rocket ship and a friendly robot. A sea turtle, a crab, an octopus, a coral reef and a happy submarine. Butterflies, bees, flowers and a rainbow unicorn. Cupcakes, doughnuts, ice cream and a birthday cake. Kites, hot air balloons, a treehouse, a lighthouse and a castle. There is a rainbow crayon as well, which paints in a gradient, and it is the first thing every child finds. MADE FOR A THREE-YEAR-OLD, NOT A TEN-YEAR-OLD The pages open two at a time. A hundred choices at once is paralysing at this age, so the book starts with two and opens the next two each time a page is finished. Everything a child colors is saved exactly as they left it, so a half-finished cat is still there tomorrow, and the page shelf slowly turns into a gallery of their own work. Finish a page and you get confetti, a gold star, and Pip — a small teal color cub who lives in the crayon box — bouncing in to be pleased about it. Early pages have a handful of large areas to fill and later ones have more. "Harder" only ever means more areas, never finer detail: every shape on every page is big enough for a small finger. It is good practice for a steady hand, and there is no wrong answer anywhere in it. Pip is delighted about the purple sky too. Good for preschool and kindergarten age, for 3, 4, 5 and 6 year olds, and for toddlers with a grown-up sitting next to them. FOR PARENTS - No ads. Not a banner, not a video, not one. - No internet. There is no networking code in the app at all, so it works on a plane, in a car, and in a waiting room with no signal. - Nothing is collected. Color Magic sends nothing anywhere and asks for no runtime permissions. Your child's pictures stay on your device. - No accounts, no sign-in, no newsletter, no links out of the app. - Every sound is generated by the app as it plays, so it ships with no audio files, and there is a mute button on every screen. The first 15 pages are free. One single purchase unlocks the other 85 forever — no subscription, no coins, no timers, nothing else to buy, ever. The purchase sits behind a grown-up question, so a child cannot reach it by tapping. Made by one person. If something is broken, or your child would like a page of a particular animal, write to me. I read everything.
