About this app
Monument Universe is a fast backward to revisit the monumental history
Read full description
Monument Universe - branded MonU - is an intuitively designed App that takes its users on a virtual tour to the ‘most popular’ and ‘culturally rich’ heritage sites and monuments in South India. While doing so, it educates them on the historical significance and architectural brilliance of these monuments with content that’s collated with utmost care and authenticated by qualified archeologists. And, it offers this content through sensitively made visuals that make the app experience a highly entertaining and enjoyable one for its users. To help in easy consumption of this content, the app breaks it into three parts: * An overview of the Era in which a monument (or a group of monuments) was constructed: o Kings who ruled the region during this period, their architectural and religious inclinations and monuments they constructed during this period * A broad sketch of the region (say Mahabalipuram or Kanchipuram) which are home to landmark monuments: o Reasons why these regions were selected by kings who ruled them, list of all monuments that were built in this region and details of their accessibility from cities/airports close by * Micro details of a particular monument (say The Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram or Kailasanatha Temple of Kanchipuram): o Identifying all architectural aspects/components of the monument and discussing each of them under an appropriate heading, so users find it easy to understand the magnificence of the monument in smaller and easily relatable bits To help users easily navigate through the listed monuments, the app gives them various approach options. * The landing screen shows all monuments covered in the app, with the latest ones placed on top so users know the ones that got recently added. * The region-wise search helps users locate monuments in a particular state, more from the airport perspective so they can plan their itinerary from either the place of their stay or from the airport that’s in their vicinity. * The search tab helps them find monuments of their choice by an independent search. It also makes their search easier by providing them popular tags using which (also) they can find monuments. The app offers its users a highly personalized experience by: * Helping them log in through any of their social media handles * Making a list of their bookmarks, reviews, and downloads * Making it easy for them to submit their review through their profile page
