EPA 608 Pro is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and it does not represent a government entity. Official EPA sources are listed at the end of this description.
Getting your EPA 608 card comes down to four sections and one number: 18 out of 25 on each one.
EPA 608 Pro gets you there with 1,025 questions, full exam simulators, and explanations that tell you why an answer is right instead of just marking it wrong.
EXAM SIMULATORS
Core, 25 questions
Type I Certification, 50 questions
Type II Certification, 50 questions
Type III Certification, 50 questions
Universal, 100 questions
Core is required for every certification, so testing for one Type means sitting 50 questions rather than 25. The simulators match that. Each section is scored on its own, so you find out you are solid on Core and shaky on Type II while there is still time to do something about it.
1,025 EPA 608 PRACTICE QUESTIONS
Seven categories and 41 subtopics covering ozone science and federal regulations, refrigerant families and refrigeration fundamentals, recovery and evacuation, safety and cylinders, and all three appliance Types.
Every question comes with an explanation, and most of them name the exact mistake the question was written to catch. The 80 and 90 percent recovery rules, Table 1 evacuation levels, leak rate thresholds, the 200 pound line, 25 mm Hg absolute. These are the details HVAC technicians fail on, and they are covered.
