Personal safety app: SOS alerts, check-ins, date safety & live location.
Compass is a personal safety app built around the people you already trust.
Instead of a faceless monitoring service, your friends are your safety network —
real people who get an alert with your live location the moment you need help.
Walking home at night, meeting someone from a dating app, riding home alone in
an Uber, hiking a trail solo, or just wanting someone to know you got in safe:
Compass keeps trusted friends looking out for you.
■ KEY FEATURES
🆘 SOS emergency alerts
• Send an SOS with one tap, or hands-free with your voice ("Compass help")
• Your contacts get your live GPS location instantly
• A panic button that reaches real people who care about you
⏰ Safety check-ins
• Set a check-in for a night out, a late commute, or a trip
• Miss it, and your contacts are alerted automatically
• A missed check-in never goes unnoticed
💛 Date safety
• Record who you're meeting and where, and add photos before you go
• Assign friends as date guardians — they get the details up front
• Verified Check-in: ending a date needs a live selfie a friend confirms, so
nobody can force you to check in against your will
🚶 Take Me Home
• Start a protected walk to a saved place like Home or Work
• Friends can follow your route on a live map
• Don't arrive on time and they are alerted automatically
🚗 Compass Driving
• For riding alone in an Uber, Lyft or taxi after a night out
• Save the driver and vehicle details, or just import a screenshot
• Check in when you're home; if you don't, your contacts get the ride details
🥾 Adventure mode
• Share your trip plan and intended route with the friends watching out for you
• Includes a search-and-rescue folder that can be handed straight to responders
📍 Live location sharing (W.A.Y. — "Where Are You")
• Share your real-time location with a friend when you choose to
• Turn it off per friend, at any time
📓 Tamper-proof safety record
• Every SOS and check-in is kept in a Black Box history you can export
• A record no one can quietly edit or erase
■ HOW COMPASS WORKS
1. Create a free account and connect with friends you trust
2. Choose which of them are your emergency contacts
3. Use a safety feature — an SOS, a check-in, a walk, a ride or a date
4. If something goes wrong, your contacts are alerted with your location
■ WHO COMPASS IS FOR
• Students walking home from campus late
• Anyone meeting someone new from a dating app
• People riding home alone in a rideshare
• Solo hikers, runners and travellers
• Night-shift workers with a late commute
• Friends and families who want check-ins, not surveillance
■ PRIVACY FIRST
Personal safety should not cost you your privacy. Compass records your position
continuously only during a walk, ride or date that you started — and it shows a
notification the whole time it is doing so, then stops on its own. There is no
always-on tracking and no silent monitoring.
Your safety records are deleted after 7 days unless something actually happens,
and we never sell your information — not your location, not anything.
You choose your emergency contacts, and you choose what you share.
■ FAIR PRICING
Safety shouldn't be expensive. Compass is $3/month, and every new account starts
with a 14-day free trial — no card required.
Free accounts can always receive alerts from friends, so the people looking out
for you never have to pay. A subscription unlocks sending SOS alerts and using
the safety features yourself.
■ IMPORTANT
Compass is not a substitute for emergency services. In a life-threatening
emergency, always call 911 or your local emergency number. Compass helps your
trusted contacts reach you and respond — it does not replace professional
emergency response and cannot guarantee a response or your safety.
Compass is a MySafeGuard product.
