Under the hood: more detailed anonymous usage statistics show us which features help at the till and what to build next. As before, they never include your cards — no store names, numbers or photos.
Offline card wallet: scan barcodes & QR, show at the till. No account, no ads.
Loyalty cards wallet that works offline. Scan the barcode of any store, reward or membership card, keep it in one place and show the code on a bright screen at the till. Cardfold needs no account, no sign-up, no cloud and no ads — your cards stay on your phone and leave it only when you export a backup yourself. BARCODE SCANNER FOR YOUR CARDS Point the camera at the barcode on the back of the card — the number and the code format fill themselves in. The camera recognises 13 code types. You can always type the number by hand: the app checks the length, the character set and the check digit, and tells you when something does not add up. SHOW THE BARCODE OR QR CODE AT THE TILL Tap a card and a sheet opens with the code drawn large, while the screen turns its brightness up to maximum — the scanner reads it on the first try. Close the card and brightness goes back to the system setting. Ten formats are drawn on screen: QR, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14 and Codabar. Cards with PDF417, Aztec and Data Matrix are stored too — for those the number is shown in large type so you can read it out to the cashier. THIRTY CARDS, AND STILL THE RIGHT ONE Store cards, reward cards, coupons and membership cards all live in one offline wallet. Cards group into categories: seven come built in, and you can rename them or add your own. Search finds a card by shop name or by number, the chips above the list narrow it as you type, and a long press drags your everyday card to the top. DATES THAT REMIND YOU Give a card a last day and it shows as a badge in the list, with a reminder a week before it passes. The reminder is scheduled by the phone itself — no push server, no account. THE CARD OF THE SHOP YOU ARE IN Pin a card to a shop on the map and it comes forward in the list when you are standing there. Only a point is stored, on this device: no address, no shop name, nothing looked up anywhere. EVERY CARD LOOKS LIKE ITSELF Twelve card colours, or any photo from your library as a cover. The text colour is computed from contrast, so the name stays readable on dark and light backgrounds alike. A BACKUP THAT IS YOURS Export puts every card and its cover into a single JSON file and opens the system share sheet — save it to Files, send it to yourself, or drop it in your cloud. Import restores the set on a new phone, and says how many cards the file holds before it replaces anything. A LOCK, A WIDGET, TWELVE LANGUAGES Ask for a fingerprint, a face or the device PIN before the cards open. Keep the card you need one tap from the launcher with the home screen widget. The interface speaks twelve languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Arabic, the last one mirrored right to left — in light and dark schemes, and both can follow the system. HONEST ABOUT PERMISSIONS AND THE NETWORK The camera is used only to scan a barcode; without the permission the app still works and you type the number. Photos are requested only when you pick a cover, location only while the card list is open. The map is fetched from outside only while you are picking a place for a card. The app sends usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase; they carry no name, no account and none of your cards. CARDFOLD PRO Every feature is free: photo covers, expiry dates with reminders, cards by place, the app lock, the widget, backups and all five colour themes. The free app holds five cards and three categories of your own. Pro is a single payment — no subscription, nothing to cancel — and it lifts those two limits.
