Protect your private photos, videos, documents and notes with NullVault—a local-first encrypted vault for Android. NullVault works differently from an ordinary gallery lock or PIN-based file locker. Each pattern opens a different private vault, and there is no visible master list showing all your vaults. ONE PATTERN, ONE VAULT Every secure pattern opens its own vault. Lock NullVault and draw another pattern to access a separate private space. There is no visible vault switcher or master vault list. SEPARATE PRIVATE SPACES Create independent vaults for personal photos, documents, work files or decoy content. Opening one vault does not reveal your other private spaces. ENCRYPTED BEFORE STORAGE NullVault encrypts your content before saving it to private app storage. Protection includes: - AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption - Memory-hard Argon2id key derivation - Device-protected Android Keystore key material - Encrypted filenames, metadata and file contents Your vault patterns are not uploaded or stored by NullVault. PROTECT PHOTOS, VIDEOS, FILES AND NOTES Keep different types of private content together: - Photos and images - Videos - Documents and other files - Private text notes Choose original-quality photo imports or Storage Saver to reduce file size. Videos remain in their original format. CAPTURE DIRECTLY TO YOUR VAULT Take photos and record videos directly inside NullVault. Your captures are encrypted and added to the active vault. Nothing is saved to your public gallery. Private captures stay inside NullVault unless you explicitly export them. SEARCH AND ORGANIZE Manage your private library with: - Search and file-type filters - Private collections - Grid and list layouts - Sorting by date, title, size or type - Image and file previews - Multi-select actions - Export and delete controls SCREEN AND BACKGROUND PROTECTION NullVault blocks screenshots, screen recording and recent-app previews on protected screens. When you leave the app, NullVault hides your content, closes the active session and locks the vault. LOCAL USE WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT No account is required to create and use local vaults. Your local vault content stays inside NullVault’s private app storage unless you explicitly export it or create an encrypted backup. DEVICE RECOVERY Create a separate device-recovery phrase for your vault. If you forget its pattern, the phrase can replace it while the vault remains on the same device. Device recovery is separate from backup and cannot restore data from a lost or reset device by itself. PORTABLE ENCRYPTED BACKUPS Create a portable encrypted backup and save it to a compatible Android storage location. Restoring the backup requires its separate backup recovery phrase. Keep the encrypted backup file and recovery phrase in different safe locations. DESTRUCTIVE DURESS MODE Designate one private space as your duress vault. If someone forces you to reveal a pattern, the selected vault can open normally while NullVault permanently invalidates access to your other local vaults. Exported backup files are not deleted. PANIC WIPE Panic wipe removes the Android Keystore key required for future local vault access. This invalidates local access but does not erase exported backups, Android system snapshots or previously written physical storage cells.
