A daily Japanese word puzzle: sort 16 words into four groups of four
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone. Sort 16 Japanese words into four groups of four that share something in common. Made for people learning Japanese: the buttons, help, and reminders are in English, while the words and group names stay in Japanese — so every puzzle is a little vocabulary workout. ■ How to play ・Pick four words and tap “Submit”. If you’re right, the group opens in color ・You can make 4 mistakes. If three of your four are right, you’ll see “One away!” ・Colors show difficulty: yellow is the easiest, purple is a wordplay trap (readings, kanji, katakana words) ■ A new puzzle every day ・The puzzle changes at midnight Japan time. Everyone plays the same one ・Track your streak, win rate, average mistakes, and how often you find purple first ・Get a morning reminder, plus one at 9 pm on days your streak is about to end ■ Share your result ・Share colored blocks only — no answers, so no spoilers for friends who haven’t played yet ・Share as text (X, Reddit, Discord, LINE) or as an image card for stories and posts ・Open a friend’s result link to see who did better once you’ve solved it ■ Practice puzzles (free) ・Want more?
