What's newin version 1.0.1
First release. Roll d4 through d100 on a 3D dice carousel, and choose where the randomness comes from: your device's secure generator, camera sensor noise, or the public NIST randomness beacon. Every roll is stamped with a SHA-256 receipt of the exact bytes it used. Set the number of dice and a flat modifier, then read the total with every die shown beside it. Rolling is free and unlimited.
About this app
Real entropy dice for tabletop. Choose your randomness; every roll is receipted.

Most dice apps hide a rand() call. Quantum Dice Roller makes the randomness a visible choice: you pick where your bits come from, and the app shows you exactly what produced the roll. CHOOSE YOUR RANDOMNESS • Secure Random: cryptographic randomness from your device. Free, offline, instant, and always available. • Lens QRNG: photon shot noise sampled from your camera sensor. Physically random, and the photon-arrival part is genuinely quantum. • NIST Beacon: a signed, hash-chained public pulse from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, published every sixty seconds. EVERY ROLL CARRIES A RECEIPT Each roll is stamped with a SHA-256 hash of the exact random bytes it consumed, including the bytes rejection sampling threw away. Tap to copy it. The hash is different every time, which is the proof the outcome was drawn rather than decided. FAIR DICE, PROPERLY A byte modulo 20 is not a d20. It quietly favours the low faces, because 256 is not a multiple of 20. This app uses rejection sampling: a byte that would skew the result is discarded and redrawn. The dice engine is pinned by a shared golden test suite that runs on every change, and the same test file is used by the iPhone version, so the two cannot drift apart. HONEST WHEN SOMETHING FAILS Offline, permission denied, camera busy: the roll still happens, on your device's own generator, and the result says so. The app will never claim a source it did not use. THE DICE d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100, drawn as true 3D wireframes: real polyhedra rotated and projected every frame, not flat pictures. Five colours, all free. Set how many dice to roll and a flat modifier, then read the total with every individual die shown beside it. Tap the die at the front of the carousel to roll it. Shake to roll. Your last two hundred rolls are kept, with their receipts. FREE AND PAID Rolling is free, unlimited, and offline, for ever. There is no daily limit and no advertising. One optional one-time purchase, True Randomness, unlocks the Camera QRNG and NIST Beacon sources. That is the only thing sold. PRIVACY No account. No tracking. No analytics. No data leaves your device except the request to the public NIST beacon, and only if you choose that source. Camera frames are processed on-device and discarded immediately: never saved, never shown, never transmitted.
