A panda that counts every reel you scroll, and tells you when to stop.
You did not mean to watch forty reels. Nobody does. The feed is built so that one more is always easier than stopping, and by the time you notice, the evening is gone. Pandu is a small panda who sits on top of Instagram, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels and quietly keeps count. It appears when you open a reel feed and leaves when you do. That is the whole idea: not a blocker, not a lecture — just a number you cannot help seeing, in the place where the scrolling happens. THE PANDA REACTS As your count climbs toward the limit you set, Pandu's mood changes. It starts chill, gets focused, grows uneasy, and eventually melts down in tears. You can feel the number rising without reading it. Choose a panda, bunny, dog or cat — or a different animal for every mood. SET A LIMIT, PICK WHAT HAPPENS Decide how many reels a day is enough. When you pass it, Pandu can do nothing, nudge you, blur the feed, or lock scrolling until you snooze it. It can also repeat back the reason you gave — an earlier night, the gym at six, the side project that will not build itself. WINK TO SCROLL (OPTIONAL) Pandu Blink reads how open your eyes are and turns winks into gestures. Wink right for the next reel, left to go back, both eyes to play or pause. Each gesture has its own switch, and the feature does nothing until you grant camera access. Pandu will not tap an advertisement on your behalf. SEE WHERE THE TIME WENT A calendar of every day, a streak of days you stayed under, and charts by day, week, month and year. Tap any bar or any date for the exact numbers, and walk back through the months. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION, NOT BY PROMISE Pandu has no internet permission. Not "we do not send your data" — it is literally unable to. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. Your counts live on your phone and are deleted when you uninstall. If you turn on Pandu Blink, camera frames go to a face model running on your device and are discarded immediately. No image is stored, shown, or sent, and there is no camera preview anywhere in the app. WHAT PANDU NEEDS, AND WHY • Accessibility service — the only way Android lets an app know a reel went past. See the full disclosure at the end of this listing. • Display over other apps — so the counter can sit on top of the feed. • Camera — only if you choose Pandu Blink. Pandu is not trying to stop you watching reels. It is trying to make sure you know that you are. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE Pandu uses Android's AccessibilityService API. This is required for the app's core feature and Pandu cannot count reels without it. Pandu uses it to read on-screen information from Instagram, YouTube and Facebook while you are using them, including when Pandu itself is not open: • The view ID and size of the on-screen container, to tell a reel feed apart from the rest of the app. • That a reel scrolled past, so the counter stays accurate. • Whether a "Sponsored" label is present, so Pandu never taps an advertisement on your behalf. • Only with Pandu Blink enabled: performing a swipe or a pause when you wink. Every gesture is triggered by you in that moment — Pandu never scrolls, taps, or acts on its own. Pandu does not read your messages, captions, passwords, or anything you type, does not record audio or take screenshots, and does not change your settings. This information is used only to show you your own counts, watch time and streaks. It is never sent off your device, shared, or sold — Pandu has no internet permission. Pandu asks for your explicit consent before requesting this permission, and you can turn the service off at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility.
