Discover, photograph, and map public art in your city.
Public Art Registry is a community-built map of public art, murals, sculptures, mosaics, and more, across cities in British Columbia. Discover art you've never noticed before. Browse the map to find public artworks near you, filter by type or neighbourhood, and tap any pin to see photos, artist credits, year, materials, and location details. Contribute to the archive. Photograph public art with your phone and submit it directly from the app. Your photos are dedicated to the public domain (CC0) so anyone can use them freely. Submissions go to a moderation queue before they appear on the map. Help improve the data. See something wrong — a missing artist, an incorrect year, a better photo? Use the "Suggest a correction" button on any artwork to send a note to moderators. Features: • Interactive map with clustering — zoom in to explore, zoom out to get the big picture • Search by artwork title, artist name, or type • Submit photos with automatic GPS tagging • Offline-friendly: the map and artwork details load from cache when you have no signal • Public domain data — everything in the registry is freely reusable No ads. No tracking. Just art. Data is sourced from city open-data releases, community submissions, and moderator research. All artwork data and submitted photos are published under CC0 (public domain).
