Follow spoken language as it happens.
Murmur turns speech into live translated captions, so you can keep up with a tour, conference talk, lecture, class, demo, or sermon in another language.
Choose a source language and target language, then tap Listen. Murmur shows translated captions as speech is recognized and can play translated speech when audio output is available.
Murmur supports English, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian, Hindi, and Dutch — with right-to-left support for Arabic.
7 FREE MINUTES EACH MONTH
Murmur creates a guest account automatically, with 7 free translation minutes each month and no sign-up required. Pro includes 120 minutes per month; Pro Max includes 400, with monthly and annual plans for both. Paid sessions can last up to 60 minutes. Add time with Trip Pass (60 minutes) or Event Pass (300 minutes); pack minutes expire 3 months after purchase. Sign in with Google to save your account and restore purchases, or delete your account in the app.
Keep listening while Murmur is in the background or your screen is locked. The redesigned app interface is available in 11 languages.
Murmur does not save cloud transcript history by default. Microphone audio streams only during a live session, and you can stop or cancel at any time.

Choose Microphone for nearby speech or Device Audio on supported Android phones to translate eligible media playing in another app. Device Audio can show translated captions in a draggable bubble when you allow display over other apps. Some apps and protected media block playback capture.
Murmur needs an internet connection. Android requires audio-recording access for both capture modes and screen-sharing approval for each Device Audio session; Murmur does not record the microphone in Device Audio mode.
Murmur uses a third-party AI service for live speech recognition, translation, and translated speech. Results may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Do not rely on Murmur alone for emergencies or medical, legal, financial, immigration, or other high-stakes decisions; use a qualified human interpreter.
