Analyze Wi-Fi: signal, channels & security. Find your clearest channel.
Wi-Fi Scanner is a fast, private Wi-Fi analyzer that shows every network around you — and helps you fix slow Wi-Fi by finding the clearest channel for your router.
Open the app and instantly see every nearby network sorted by signal strength, with its channel, band and security at a glance. No account, no sign-up — and your scan results never leave your device.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
📶 Scan nearby Wi-Fi — SSID, signal strength (% and dBm), channel and 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz band, sorted strongest first.
🔒 See security at a glance — Open, WPA2 or WPA3, with open networks flagged.
📊 Channel analyzer — find the least-congested channel using real RF scoring (overlap + signal weighted), not just a count of networks. It recommends channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4 GHz and the clearest channel on 5 GHz, with a 20 / 40 / 80 MHz width selector.
📈 Signal history — watch your signal over time as you walk around to map and fix dead zones.
🎯 Find my router — a live “warmer / colder” radar that gets stronger as you move toward the access point.
📤 Export to CSV — save or share a full scan for reports or troubleshooting.
🌙 Clean Material design with full dark mode.
WHY THE RIGHT CHANNEL MATTERS
Slow Wi-Fi is often caused by neighbouring networks overlapping yours. On 2.4 GHz, only channels 1, 6 and 11 don’t overlap — sitting in between actually causes worse interference than sharing a channel. Wi-Fi Scanner measures the real, signal-weighted interference on every channel and tells you exactly where to move your router for faster, more reliable Wi-Fi.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-in. No server. Wi-Fi scanning requires the location permission on Android (a platform rule for reading scan results), but the app never collects, stores or shares your location — everything stays on your device.
FREE & PRO
Wi-Fi Scanner is free, supported by ads. An optional one-time Pro purchase removes ads and unlocks the advanced tools (channel analyzer, signal history, router radar and CSV export).
Requires Android 7.0 or newer.
Perfect for setting up a new router, troubleshooting slow or dropping Wi-Fi, locating a hidden access point, running a quick site survey, or just seeing what’s on the air around you.
