Exact KB Photo Compressor reduces a photo's file size so the saved JPG is at or below the size you choose. Tap a preset of 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB, or type your own limit in KB or MB. It is made for the moment an upload box says "maximum 50 KB" and your phone photo is several MB. Typical uses include online application and registration forms, job applications, exam or admission forms, government-service portals, passport-style photos and signatures with a KB limit, email attachments and document uploads. How it works • Pick a photo: JPG, PNG or WebP (other formats such as HEIF work if your phone can open them). • Check the preview, file name, dimensions in pixels, file size and format. • Choose a preset or enter a custom size from 2 KB to 50 MB. Decimals are allowed, for example 12.5 KB or 1.5 MB. • The app lowers JPEG quality first and reduces dimensions only when needed, aiming for the highest quality that fits. It then checks the real size of the saved file. Clear results • Original and compressed photos side by side • Original and compressed size, including exact bytes • Percentage saved, original and output dimensions, and JPEG quality • A clear "Within your limit" status for the size you picked Honest about very small sizes If a limit is too small for a particular photo, the app tells you, shows the smallest size it could reach and suggests a size that works. It never reports success when the file is above your limit. KB counted the strict way The app uses 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so a file that fits "50 KB" here also fits forms that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes. Your photos stay on your phone • Photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded • No account or login • Photo metadata, including location, is removed from the compressed file • Camera rotation is applied, so photos come out upright • Compression works without an internet connection Save and share • Save to the Pictures/ExactKBCompressor folder on your phone • Share through the Android share sheet • Change the target size and compress again, or start with another photo • Cancel at any time during compression Includes light and dark themes. Requires Android 8.0 or later. Good to know • Output is always JPG. Transparent areas in PNG or WebP files become white, not black. • Very small limits may need smaller dimensions, and some very small limits can't be reached for some images. • The app only enforces a maximum file size. Check the form's other rules, such as minimum file size, pixel dimensions or background, before you upload. Acceptance is decided by the website or organisation that runs the form. Ads and privacy The free app shows one banner ad from Google AdMob on the Home screen only, never over previews, progress or results. The internet connection is used for ads, and an ad consent form is shown where required. The app does not upload your photos or ask for personal details, but the ads service collects device information such as the advertising ID to show and measure ads. The privacy policy explains this in detail. Privacy policy: https://rohansurve.in/exact-kb/privacy Questions or feedback: rohan.surve5@gmail.com
