Scroll Tax is a screen-time wallet. Instead of scrolling on autopilot, you read short, useful ideas from curated books, podcasts and articles. Every second you spend reading is banked as a second of phone time, which you then spend to open the apps you chose to block. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pick the apps that eat your time and set a blocking schedule. 2. When you open a blocked app with an empty wallet, Scroll Tax steps in and offers you something better to read. 3. Read an idea. One second read = one second earned. 4. Spend your banked minutes on the apps you wanted, guilt-free. WHY IT WORKS Willpower fails. Trade-offs work. Scroll Tax does not ban your favourite apps; it puts a small price on them. That price is paid in reading, so the habit you build in the background is the one you always wanted. PERMISSIONS To block apps, Scroll Tax needs Usage access (to see which app is in the foreground) and an Accessibility service (to redirect you away from a blocked app the moment it opens). A persistent notification keeps the blocker running in the background. These signals are processed on your device to decide whether to show the block screen; your app usage is not sold or shared with third parties. SUBSCRIPTION Scroll Tax requires a subscription after a 7-day free trial (available to new subscribers). Plans are billed through your Google Play account weekly, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
