MagicSDR Flex Edition turns your Android phone or tablet into a touch-first receiver panel for your FlexRadio FLEX-6000 or FLEX-8000 series transceiver — at home over Wi-Fi, or from anywhere through SmartLink. OPEN BETA · RECEIVE ONLY FOR NOW This is an open beta. The app is receive-only for now: it cannot transmit (no MOX/PTT, microphone or CW keyer). Features are still being added and polished, and your feedback decides what comes next. CONNECT YOUR RADIO • Automatic discovery of FlexRadio transceivers on your local network • SmartLink: sign in with your FlexRadio SmartLink account to reach your radio over the internet • Add a radio manually by IP address • multiFLEX friendly: name your station, see who else is connected; your panadapters and slices come back when you reconnect • No radio at hand? Try the built-in demo radio — a simulated FLEX-8400 playing a 40 m CW recording PANADAPTER AND WATERFALL • Spectrum and waterfall straight from the radio, up to 30 fps • Gestures: drag to pan, pinch to zoom, pinch vertically to scale the dBm range, tap or double-tap to tune, drag the slice or its filter edges • Several panadapters and slices, switch in one tap • Band zoom and span presets from 10 kHz to 2 MHz • Display controls: dBm range, fill, averaging, waterfall gain, black level with Auto, line rate and color palettes • Band plan overlay (ITU Region 1/2/3 amateur bands, shortwave broadcast and more) and Smart Tune markers RECEIVER CONTROLS • Modes: USB, LSB, CW, AM, FM, NFM • Filter width, tuning step and an on-screen tuning knob with haptic feedback • AGC with AGC-T, NB, NR, ANF, APF in CW, WNB • SmartSDR+ noise reduction (NRL, ANFL, ANFT; NRS, NRF, RNN on supported radios) when your license allows it • RX antenna, RF gain / preamp, Loop A/B on FLEX-6500/6700 • 8-band receive equalizer • Band buttons and direct frequency entry • The radio's memory channels: tune, add, edit, remove • Global profiles: load, save, delete • Tabs — saved workspaces with their own frequency and display settings AUDIO • Compressed Opus audio from the radio, on your LAN or over the internet • Per-slice volume, balance and mute • Optional background play with a notification that shows frequency and mode RADIO STATUS • S-meter • Radio details: model, serial, versions, license • multiFLEX stations, free slices and panadapters • GPS status (if installed), network info and diagnostics: latency, packet loss REQUIREMENTS • FlexRadio FLEX-6000 or FLEX-8000 series transceiver (or Aurora) • The same local network, or a SmartLink account for remote access YOUR FEEDBACK IS VERY WELCOME MagicSDR Flex Edition is built together with its users.
