Your day's weather in two lines, plus alerts before rain or bad air reaches you.
Weather apps hand you a table of numbers and leave the reading to you. WeatherWise does the reading. It sums up weather and air quality in two lines: what the sky is doing now, and how the rest of the day plays out. Think "Rain from 3 PM. Take an umbrella home." ▌ Made for · Commuters deciding on an umbrella or jacket in under a minute · Parents who check fine dust before the school run · Runners and cyclists watching rain and wind for the next hour or two · Anyone tired of juggling a weather app and an air quality app ▌ Your day in two lines The summary card at the top of Home reads temperature, rain, fine dust and wind together and tells you what to bring. Rank rain, fine dust, temperature and wind in the order you care about, and the summary leads with what matters most to you. If you don't set a priority, weather warnings and sudden changes come first. ▌ Alerts that arrive first · Rain ahead: when the chance of rain within the next hour climbs to 60% or more, you'll get a nudge to grab an umbrella. · Fine dust spike: when the nearest station's reading rises to "Bad" or worse, you'll hear about it right away. · Weather warnings: get notified when a heavy rain, heat wave or cold wave warning is issued for your area. · Morning brief: pick a time and the days you want, and get a one-message summary of the day ahead. Alerts are sent from our server when forecasts or readings change, so they arrive even when the app is closed. Each type can be switched on or off. ▌ Hourly and extended forecasts Scan the hourly view to see when rain is likely and how the temperature moves through the day, along with feels-like temperature, humidity and wind. The weekly view separates the neighborhood-level short-range forecast (5 km grid) from the province-level extended forecast, and shows when each one was issued. ▌ Air quality: what's measured vs. what's forecast · Observed now: PM2.5, PM10 and ozone readings with grades from the nearest monitoring station · Recent trend: how the station's readings have moved over the past hours · Regional forecast: daily grades issued by AirKorea for your region · Grading standard: choose Korea's national 4-level scale or the stricter WHO-based scale Measured values and forecasts are never blended together, so you always know where a number came from. ▌ Weather warnings See active warnings for your area, such as heavy rain, heat wave or cold wave, on a single screen. ▌ Home screen widgets Small and medium widgets show current conditions, the summary and when it was last updated. Tap a widget to jump straight to the details. ▌ Multiple locations Allow location access to see the weather where you are. Save up to 10 places, including your current location, and switch between them with a tap. Prefer not to share your location? Search by neighborhood name and everything still works. ▌ Easy on the eyes Painted scenes of Seoul, with Namsan Tower and the Han River, change with the weather and time of day: day, night, rain and hazy dust. Light and dark themes are both supported, and the app is available in English and Korean. ▌ Data sources Built on public data from the Korea Meteorological Administration (short-range and extended forecasts, weather warnings) and AirKorea by Korea Environment Corporation. WeatherWise is an independent app and is not affiliated with either agency. Summaries are the app's interpretation of public data, so please check official announcements for important decisions. ▌ Privacy and ads No sign-up, no login. Your saved places and settings stay on your device. Your location is only used to find your neighborhood and is never stored. If you turn on alerts, only what's needed to send them (a push token, your places and your alert settings) is kept on our server, and it's deleted when you turn all alerts off. WeatherWise is supported by ads. Coverage: South Korea only. Contact: siwooeo@gmail.com
