smartid is the app for everyone at an institution using smartid attendance — schools, colleges and companies. What you see depends on who your institution says you are, and you can be more than one thing at once. A teacher whose own child attends the same school follows both sides in the same app, without signing out and without a second account. IF YOU ARE STAFF - Check in and out from your phone, with your location recorded at the moment you do it - See your own attendance record — the date, the time and the status for every day - Apply for leave, follow what has been approved, and see how much you have left - Check in again from a meeting or another site during the day, recorded as a separate trip without changing the arrival time you were graded on IF YOU ARE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN - Follow your own child's attendance, day by day - See your own children only — never another family's WHY THE APP ASKS FOR LOCATION Your check-in is compared against the premises your institution has registered, so the record shows whether it happened on site. Location is read only at the moment you check in or out — never in the background, and never while the app is closed. If you would rather not share your location, ask your administrator about checking in at a terminal or with a card instead. YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT smartid accounts are issued by your institution.
