Scan a QR code or barcode and see exactly what it contains before anything opens. Point the camera at a code, or pick a screenshot or photo from your gallery. Scanning works without an internet connection, there is no account to create, and the app shows no ads. SEE WHAT A CODE HOLDS FIRST After each scan you get a result screen with the full content: the whole web address, the Wi-Fi network and password, the contact details or the text. Links do not open by themselves; you choose what to do next. If you want links to open straight away, you can switch that on in Settings. SCAN FROM A SCREENSHOT OR PHOTO Got a QR code in a WhatsApp chat, an email or a screenshot? Open the app, tap the gallery icon and pick the image. You do not need a second phone or a printout. WI-FI QR CODES Scan a Wi-Fi QR code to see the network name and password. On Android 10 and newer you can also ask your phone to join the network from the result screen; Android shows its own confirmation. PAYMENT QR CODES EXPLAINED When a code is a payment request, the app shows what it found, such as the amount, currency and merchant, so you can check them before you pay in your own banking or wallet app. If an issuer cannot be verified, the app says so instead of guessing. The app never makes payments itself. MAKE YOUR OWN QR CODES Create QR codes for a website, Wi-Fi network, contact card, phone number, SMS, email, location, calendar event or plain text. Codes are made on your phone. Save them or share them. HISTORY, FAVOURITES AND BATCH SCAN Every scan is saved in History on your phone, so you can find an old code again. Star the ones you use often. Batch mode lets you scan several codes one after another and keeps them in one list. FORMATS QR Code, Micro QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, ITF and Codabar. WHAT NEEDS THE INTERNET Scanning QR codes and barcodes, creating codes and History work offline. These optional features go online: • Product information for barcodes: the barcode number is sent to public product databases to look up the item. • AI Vision: the photo you choose is sent to Google's Gemini service, after you agree in the app. • Object search: the photo is uploaded to an image host so web image search can look it up. • Opening links, maps and web searches. The app also uses Google Firebase for crash reports and app settings. PERMISSIONS Camera, to scan. Location (and nearby Wi-Fi devices on Android 13+) may be requested when you connect to a Wi-Fi network or add a place to a location QR code. This is an independent app by Soulix Technologies.
