SoundSync turns the phones around you into one speaker system. Everyone plays the same song at the same moment, synced to the millisecond, over shared Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot, or Wi-Fi Direct. No account, no sign-up, and no internet connection needed. More phones means more sound. Two phones on a table, five phones at a picnic, or one phone in every room of the house. HOW IT WORKS 1. One phone hosts the session and picks the music. 2. Everyone else joins by scanning the QR code, or with a single tap when all devices are on the same Wi-Fi. 3. Press play. Every device starts together and stays together. IF A DEVICE WILL NOT CONNECT Many Wi-Fi networks block phones from talking directly to each other. Guest networks, office networks, hotel Wi-Fi and some home routers do this, and it stops any local sync app from working. The fix is to host with your phone's hotspot instead of the shared Wi-Fi. The hotspot carries the session only and does not need mobile data or internet access. Wi-Fi Direct is a second option on phones that support it. If joining still fails, email us the phone models and the network you are on, and we will work through it with you. PERMISSIONS • Location and nearby Wi-Fi: Android requires these to find devices on the local network and to read hotspot details. SoundSync never collects or shares your location. • Notifications: shows playback controls while a session is running. • Audio files: reads the music you choose to play.
