About this app
Mark the provinces you have been to and watch your Philippine map fill in.
Suroy is Cebuano for "to wander." Most of us have seen more of the Philippines than we can name. A cousin's wedding in Iloilo. A work trip to Davao. That one summer in Sagada everyone still talks about. Suroy counts all of it, from the day you were born, not the day you downloaded an app. THE PASSPORT Tap the provinces you have been to and watch your map of the Philippines fill in. Keep the rest on your list. All 82 provinces, Been and On my list, on one map you can share as a card. Fill it backwards from memory or forwards from your next trip, then send it to the group chat and let them argue about who has been to more. Every province has its own page: your stamp, your notes, and a short story about the place. THE WIDGET Put the map on your home screen. Four sizes, from a quiet count to the whole country top to bottom, with the provinces you have been to filled in and the ones on your list outlined. It updates the moment you mark a province, and it tells you when today's Daily Suroy is up. SAKTO BA? One of our photos. One place name. Is it right? Swipe right for Sakto, left for Sayop, before the timer runs out. Every card comes faster than the last. Three misses and the run is over. The postcards are easy; the deep cuts are where the points are. Every run ends with a title, from Turista, still on the tour bus, up through Lakwatsero, Tigsuroy, Island Hopper, Bisdak Navigator and Drone Pilot to Suroy Veteran. Share the card and make your friends earn theirs. Every frame is an original Suroy.ph photograph, most of them from the drone. SUROY FUN RUN 8,900 meters of the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway, on foot. Real jeepney route codes on the windshields, carabaos, potholes, a lechon for a boost, and a dog that does not care about you. Get too close to a jeepney and the game says Amping. Make it across and the card says Naabot. Every run is a new road, and your card carries a race code so the group chat can run the same one. THE DAILY SUROY One question a day about the country, at midnight Philippine time. Name an island you can reach by public ferry. Name a province in Mindanao. Many answers are right; the rarer yours, the higher your rank. Build a streak. CEBU QUIZ How well do you know the province? Ten questions, no mercy. DAY PLANS Say where you are leaving from, how many days you have and how you like to travel, and Suroy drafts the trip: transfers, reference prices in pesos, and the things to confirm before you book. Save a plan, walk it stop by stop, and when you finish the trip it stamps the province in your Passport with the date. Light and dark mode. A launch cover from the Suroy.ph drone library that changes every time you open the app, with the coordinates the drone recorded. Your Passport lives on your phone. No account to make, no sign-in, and the app never asks where you are. Built in Cebu by the people behind Suroy.ph and Suroy Wear. Padayon. Keep going.
