Tailor Base Patterns drafts sewing patterns to your own body measurements.
Instead of picking the nearest standard size and fixing the fit afterwards, enter your measurements and get a basic block (sloper) drafted for your body in seconds. Use it as the starting point for your own designs.
WHAT YOU CAN MAKE
• Bodice: front and back pieces
• Bodice + Sleeve: with a one-piece sleeve drafted to the bodice armhole
• Skirt: front and back pieces
A REAL DRAFTING METHOD
The drafting engine is based on the EMKO CMEA method, an industrial pattern-drafting standard developed for garment manufacturing. It goes further than scaling a block from bust, waist and hip:
• Four separate bust measurements, so the draft follows bust shape, not just overall size
• Automatic posture detection (Normal, Hunched forward, Hunched back), with the pattern adjusted to match
• Waist ease shared across darts and seams for a balanced shape
• Choice of garment type (dress or blouse, blazer, coat), fit level, fabric thickness and shoulder padding
EASY TO MEASURE
• An illustrated guide for every measurement
• Works in centimetres or inches
• Clear checks catch measurements that don't fit together before you generate
• Start from a standard size (XS to XL; skirt XS to L) if you don't have your measurements yet
• Try the built-in Sample Person to explore the app
SAVE YOUR WORK
• Save named measurement sets, for example one per client or family member, and reuse them any time
• My patterns: re-download your patterns for 30 days
PRINT-READY FILES
• A4 PDF: tiled pages with an assembly guide and a print-check square (10 × 10 cm or 4 × 4 in)
• Plotter PDF: one continuous sheet for wide-format printers
• SVG: a scalable vector file for cutting machines and pattern software

GOOD TO KNOW
• Seam allowances are not included. Add them when cutting the fabric.
• A pattern is only as accurate as the measurements it's drafted from. Take each one carefully.
• The block is a first draft: fine-tune darts and side seams after a fitting.
Made for people who sew and draft: home sewists, tailors, pattern makers and fashion students.
