Measure light intensity with lux meter, exposure calculator and plant guide
Light Meter Pro turns your smartphone into a precise light measurement instrument. Measure illuminance using both the ambient light sensor and camera with real-time results displayed on a beautiful animated gauge. Whether you need to check room brightness, set up photography lighting, ensure your plants get enough light, or audit workplace illumination — this app gives you professional-grade readings in Lux and Foot-candle units. DUAL MEASUREMENT MODES Measure light using two methods for greater flexibility: — Incident mode uses your device's built-in ambient light sensor for quick, accurate readings of the surrounding environment. — Reflective mode uses the rear camera with tap-to-spot metering, letting you measure light from a specific area in the scene. Switch to the front camera to measure light falling on your face. SMART LIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS Not sure if your lighting is adequate? The built-in guide covers recommended lux levels for over 20 room types including living rooms, offices, classrooms, studios, and more. A live indicator shows whether your current light is too dark, ideal, or too bright for each environment. PLANT LIGHT GUIDE Caring for houseplants? Browse a database of 50+ common plants with their ideal light requirements. The DLI (Daily Light Integral) calculator estimates how much total light your plant receives based on intensity and hours of exposure. PHOTOGRAPHY EXPOSURE CALCULATOR Calculate the right exposure settings directly from your light reading. Select ISO and aperture to get the recommended shutter speed. Includes an EV reference table, Sunny 16 rule guide, and support for saving custom presets. LIGHT HEATMAP MAPPING Walk around a room and tap a grid to record lux values at different positions. The app generates a color-coded heatmap showing bright and dark zones in your space. Save, share, and compare heatmaps over time. Useful for interior designers, office managers, and electricians. REAL-TIME CHARTS AND STATISTICS View a live line chart of light intensity over time with smooth animations and touch-to-inspect tooltips. Monitor minimum, maximum, average values and Exposure Value (EV) as you measure. Select time ranges from 30 seconds to full session. FLICKER DETECTION Detect rapid light flickering that may cause video banding or eye strain. The app analyzes fluctuations and reports the flicker frequency in Hz along with modulation depth and video frame rate recommendations. COLOR TEMPERATURE ESTIMATION Estimate the warmth or coolness of your light source using the camera. See approximate Kelvin values with labels like Warm White, Daylight, or Cool Daylight on an intuitive gradient bar. COMPREHENSIVE MEASUREMENT HISTORY Every session is automatically saved with full statistics. Search, filter, and sort your measurements. View detailed reports with interactive charts. Export data as CSV or professional PDF reports for documentation. COMPARISON TOOL Compare two to four measurements side by side with overlaid line charts, grouped bar charts, and auto-generated difference calculations. Ideal for before-and-after lighting comparisons. CALIBRATION OPTIONS Calibrate your device with a simple offset slider or use advanced three-point calibration for precise results. Save device-specific calibration profiles and view detailed sensor hardware information. BEAUTIFUL DESIGN WITH FREE GAUGE SKINS Choose from five unique gauge designs — Classic, Modern, Neon, Minimal, and Vintage. All skins are completely free. The app features smooth spring-physics needle animation, dark mode for the Neon skin gauge, and a clean light interface throughout. ADDITIONAL FEATURES — Lux and Foot-candle unit switching — Home screen widget with live readings — Background measurement with notification — Flashlight brightness tester — Data backup and restore — Works fully offline — no internet needed for measurements Contact us: digitalqueens.in@gmail.com
