First release: focus sessions, schedules, daily limits and a pause before opening apps.
Block distracting apps, set daily limits and focus. No ads, no account.
Stowphone is an app blocker and focus timer that helps you put your phone away. Choose the apps that pull you in, and Stowphone keeps them closed during focus sessions, on a schedule, or once you reach a daily limit. Every feature is included. No ads, no account, no subscription, and nothing to unlock. SET UP IN ABOUT A MINUTE • Pick a goal: study, sleep, work or less social media • Stowphone suggests which apps to block and builds a starting plan • Each permission is explained in plain words before you turn it on FOCUS NOW • Start a focus session with one tap: 5 minutes to 4 hours • Home screen widget and Quick Settings tile • A quiet countdown in your notifications SCHEDULES • Block apps at bedtime, during work or class, on the days you choose • Block chosen apps, or allow only the apps you need • Schedules that run past midnight work as expected DAILY LIMITS • Give a group of apps a time allowance per day • Time adds up across the whole day. Leaving and coming back does not reset it PAUSE BEFORE OPENING • A short breather appears when you open an app you chose • Then you decide: skip it, or open it for a few minutes • Works for as many apps as you like YOU DECIDE HOW HARD IT IS TO UNDO • Easy: one tap opens a blocked app for a few minutes • Medium: wait 30 seconds, then type a short sentence • Strict: blocked apps stay closed until the time is up, and rules cannot be changed meanwhile YOU ARE NEVER LOCKED OUT • Phone and emergency calls, messages, Settings and your home screen are never blocked • Every block screen has an Emergency call button • Add your own always-allowed apps, such as maps, banking or transit YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE • The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere • It does not use the accessibility service and cannot read what is on your screen • Screen-time numbers come from your phone's own usage record and stay on the device SEE HOW YOU ARE DOING • Screen time today and for the last 7 days • Time and number of opens for each app • How many times you chose not to open an app BUILT TO KEEP WORKING • A self-check screen shows whether blocking can run on your phone and how to fix it • A practice screen lets you try a block without touching your real apps • Changing the phone's clock does not end a focus session • It only checks which app is open while the screen is on PERMISSIONS • Usage access: to see which app is in front and for how long • Display over other apps: to show the block screen in front of a blocked app • Notifications: one status notification while your rules are on GOOD TO KNOW • Stowphone blocks apps. It does not block websites inside a browser or small floating video windows • It is a self-control tool for your own phone, not a parental control or monitoring app • It is not a medical product Available in 31 languages.
