NEW: Build custom drills with up to 10 strings — each with its own distance, round count, delay window, and par time. Multi-string drills now run start-to-finish with per-string shot tracking. NEW: Gear & Range — save firearms with per-gun accessories, a general gear list (belts, holsters, plate carriers), and your range info. FIXED: Par time now stops at the exact second set. Fixed a crash when reviewing shots between strings.
Audio shot timer: random start, live splits, auto calibrated
Standby is a precision shot timer for USPSA, IDPA, and other shooting sports practice, right on your phone, with no extra hardware required. How it works Press start and Standby counts down a randomized delay (just like the timers used at match stages) before sounding a start beep, so you can't anticipate the signal. From there, the microphone listens for each shot in real time, logging the split from the previous shot as you shoot. Features Randomized start delay with a configurable min/max range, keeps every run honest. Real time shot detection built on your phone's microphone, no external timer needed. Live split table showing your times update shot by shot as you run the string. Adjustable par time with an auto stop and its own end beep, for par time drills. Auto Calibrate: record a few seconds of your actual environment and Standby sets the ideal sensitivity threshold automatically, so it holds up indoors, outdoors, or in different noise conditions. Session review showing total time, shot count, average split, and the full shot by shot breakdown after each string. The timer works fully offline — no account required, and your session data never leaves your device. (Ad-supported app; see our privacy policy for details on the ad service we use.) Whether you're running classifier stages or working par time drills, Standby gives you a serious shot timer that lives in your pocket.
