AR ruler to measure length, area, height and angles. Results are estimates.
AR Ruler turns your phone into a set of simple measuring tools. Point the camera at a floor, wall or table, tap + to place points, and see the size on the screen in the unit you choose.
All results are estimates. They depend on light, the surface and your phone, so please check important measurements with a real tape measure.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Scan: move your phone slowly until a dotted grid appears on the surface.
2. Tap +: aim the circle at each point you want and tap +.
3. Save: tap ✓ to keep the result in the app or share it.
AR MEASURING TOOLS
• Line Ruler: length between two points. Add as many lines as you need.
• Distance: distance from your phone to a point. Hold freezes the value.
• Angle: angle between two lines on a surface.
• Area and Perimeter: area and perimeter of a floor, wall or table. Use Rectangle mode with just three taps, or tap each corner for other shapes.
• Volume: estimated volume of boxes and cylinders.
• Path: total length of a path with many points, with an option to close the loop.
• Height: height of an object, measured up from the floor or down from the ceiling.
• Floor Plan: tap the corners of a room, set the ceiling height and mark doors and windows. Then edit wall lengths in the plan editor.
• Target Surface: plain white walls and glossy tables are hard for the camera to see. Print the marker, tape it to the surface and measure on it.
HOME DECOR
Place simple furniture shapes such as a sofa, bed, table, chair, desk, wardrobe, TV unit, bookshelf, plant and rug in your room. Move, rotate and resize each item to plan your layout.
TOOLS THAT WORK WITHOUT AR
• On-screen Ruler: measure small objects on your display. Calibrate it once with a bank card.
• Photo Ruler: take or choose a photo that includes an object of known size, such as a bank card or an A4 sheet, then measure lines, angles and areas on the photo.
KEEP AND ORGANIZE
• Saved measurements go to the Archive inside the app.
• Search, sort, rename, add notes and sort items into folders.
• Share a result as text or as a picture.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Units: millimetres, centimetres, metres, inches, feet, feet and inches, or yards.
• Choose 0, 1 or 2 decimal places.
• Light, dark or system theme.
• Many languages.
• A short "How to use" guide for every tool, plus a full help section.
GOOD TO KNOW
• AR tools need a phone that supports Google Play Services for AR. On other phones you can still use the On-screen Ruler and Photo Ruler.
• For the best results, use good light, aim at textured surfaces and move the phone slowly.
• The camera is used on your phone to find surfaces. Your measurements are stored in the app on your phone. No account is needed.
