RAR to ZIP Converter is a simple archive utility for converting RAR files to ZIP and extracting RAR or ZIP archives directly on your Android device. Choose one or multiple RAR archives, convert them to ZIP one at a time, and save the completed ZIP files to a location you choose. You can also use the built-in archive extractor to extract supported RAR and ZIP files into a selected folder. All archive processing is handled on your device, and your original source files are not deleted or modified. RAR to ZIP Conversion Convert RAR and RAR5 archives to ZIP without changing the original archive. Open Archives from Other Apps For supported local archive files, RAR to ZIP Converter can appear as an available app when you open or share an archive from another Android app. This makes it easier to send a supported RAR or ZIP archive directly to the converter or extractor. On-Device File Handling The app uses Android's Storage Access Framework for selecting files and output locations. No broad storage permission is requested You choose the destination for saved files Source archives are never automatically deleted Temporary processing files are stored in app cache Temporary files are cleaned after successful saves, failures, or cancellations Archive Processing Safeguards Archive extraction includes checks designed to reduce common archive-processing problems, including: Path validation against ZIP Slip and path traversal Archive entry-count limits Source and extracted-size safeguards Available cache-space checks Archive nesting and depth safeguards Staging before files are written to the selected extraction folder The app also provides readable error messages for problems such as corrupt or incomplete ZIP files, unsupported RAR archives, incorrect passwords, unavailable source files, and destination write failures. Cancel When Needed An active conversion can be cancelled from the conversion screen. When cancellation begins, the app prevents repeated cancellation requests, stops the active operation, cleans temporary data, and updates the file's status when cancellation is complete.
