Password generator and local vault. No account, no cloud, works fully offline.
LocalVault is a password generator and a local vault in one screen. It builds strong passwords to your own rules and keeps them on your phone, with no account, no cloud sync and no connection needed at any point. Open it, tap Generate, and you have a fresh password. Type the site it belongs to, add a username if you use one, and save. The entry drops to the top of your list and stays on the device. WHAT YOU CAN DO Generate a password in one tap, 16 characters by default. Set any length between 6 and 64 characters. Turn uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols (!@#$%^&*-_=+?) on or off. Skip look-alike characters: capital I and O, lowercase l, zero and one are left out of every password, so what you read is what you type. Check the strength label under each password, Weak, OK, Good or Strong, scored on length and character variety. Save an entry with the site name and an optional username. Keep every saved entry in one list on the home screen, newest at the top. Delete an entry with a confirmation step, so nothing disappears by mistake. Use it with no signal at all, because the app never goes online. A PASSWORD GENERATOR THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Most people reuse one password because inventing a new one is work. This password generator does that part for you, and because the vault is local there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to trust with your list. The app makes no network calls of any kind. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone tired of the same password on twenty sites. A home router, a work login, a shared streaming account, a Wi-Fi code for guests, or the site you sign into twice a year: generate one, save it with the site name, and stop trying to remember it. PRIVACY No account. No sign in. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party services. Your entries are held in the app's own storage on your phone or tablet, and the app does not encrypt them. The app uploads nothing, because there is nowhere for it to go. The one copy that can leave the device is Android's own device backup: if backup is turned on in your Android settings, it can include your saved entries, passwords included, in your Google account backup. COMMON QUESTIONS Does it need an internet connection? No. The password generator and the vault both run entirely on the device, so the app works in airplane mode. Do I need to create an account? No. There is no sign in and no email address to give. How long can a password be? Anything from 6 to 64 characters, and you choose which character sets go into it. Why are some characters missing? Capital I and O, lowercase l, zero and one are excluded on purpose, because they are the ones people misread when typing a password by hand. Is my list backed up anywhere? The app never backs it up or sends it anywhere, and it has no export. Android's own device backup can include it if backup is turned on in your Android settings. LocalVault is a straightforward password generator and vault for everyday logins. If you are holding high-value secrets, a dedicated manager with audited encryption is the right tool for those. Light and dark appearance follow your system setting.
