Learn US traffic rules by actually driving. DMV permit practice, real scenarios.
NOT A GOVERNMENT APP Yield is an independent driving game. It does not represent a government entity. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any DMV, or any state or federal agency. Official sources for every rule it teaches are listed at the end of this description. You know the rule. The test is using it in traffic. Yield is a driving simulator where the traffic follows the rules too. Every run drops you into real US road situations. It grades what you actually did behind the wheel, not what you can recite. It is permit test practice by driving instead of memorizing. An instructor rides with you. Ray calls the maneuver before each junction, and when you get one wrong he tells you which traffic rule you broke. WHAT YOU DRIVE • Four-way stops, where whoever stopped first goes first • Traffic lights, right on red, and left turns across oncoming traffic • T-junctions where you stop, then pick a real gap • Crosswalks with pedestrians who are actually walking somewhere • Blocked lanes, merges, and lane changes that need a signal • Posted speed limits that change street to street • City streets and open country roads HOW IT GRADES Every mistake is logged the moment it happens, with a photo of it. Cut off a driver, rolled a stop sign, turned without signaling, made a pedestrian wait. The debrief at the end of the run tells you what each one was. START IN THE PRACTICE YARD Four practice rooms teach the pedals, turns, lane changes and signals before you meet traffic, like the lot at a driving school. Pass the skills test and the instructor takes you out on the road. WHO IT IS FOR • Learners getting ready for the DMV permit test • New drivers who know the handbook but freeze at a busy junction • Drivers new to the US who want to see how right of way works here WHERE THE RULES COME FROM Traffic law is set by each state, not by one national rulebook. Yield models common US practice: who goes first at a four-way stop, when a right turn on red is allowed, when to yield to a pedestrian, right of way, road signs, speed limits and lane discipline. Check your own state's handbook for the rules where you drive. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS No sign-up, no ads, no in-app purchases. Your progress stays on your device. OFFICIAL SOURCES Traffic laws are set by each state. Check the rules where you drive against these sources: • Your state's driver handbook, through your state's motor vehicle agency.
