First release on Google Play. • Your birthday, measured in light-years: where the light of your birth is now and which stars it has reached • 246 stars from measured positions, a phone-aimed star finder and a 3D voyage to the edge of the universe • 76 hands-on experiments in 12 languages • No sign-up, no ads, works offline
Your birthday in light-years. See which stars your birth light has reached.
Cosmic Passport turns a single date — your birthday — into your coordinates in the universe. The light that left Earth the moment you were born has never stopped. Right now it is still racing outward at 299,792 km per second. How many light-years away is it? Which stars has it already passed? When will it reach the next one? Cosmic Passport calculates it from public observational data and standard physical constants. ■ What you can do • Cosmic passport — issue a passport for your one-time-only coordinates in space and time, and save it as a card • The stars your light reached — out of 246 stars plotted from measured positions • Star finder — raise your phone and see the sky in that direction • Infinite voyage — travel in 3D from the Solar System to the edge of the observable universe • Tonight's sky — the planets and stars you can see if you step outside now • 76 hands-on experiments — star colour and temperature, gravitational lensing, Kepler's laws, cosmic expansion, black holes, tides, eclipses… • Sounds of space, the cosmic calendar, a 117-term glossary and 466 knowledge entries • Read-aloud, text size and brightness controls ■ Accuracy is what makes awe possible No exaggeration. No horoscopes. Every number is derived from public sources such as the Hipparcos catalogue, NASA JPL Horizons and IAU standards, and each screen shows how it was calculated. ■ Your data stays with you • No sign-up, no login, no ads, no tracking • Your birth date is computed on your device and never sent to a server • Once opened, it works offline — the best places to see stars rarely have signal ■ 12 languages 한국어 · English · 日本語 · 简体中文 · 繁體中文 · Español · Français · Deutsch · Português · Русский · العربية · हिन्दी Free to use in classrooms.
