The SMA app is the leading digital health application for people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in Germany and offers the following features: - TRACKING THE INDIVIDUAL PROGRESSION OF SMA: By completing the SMA Functional Scale, users can view their individual disease progression and assess how the condition is developing. - SMA FUNCTIONAL SCALE: The scale is a questionnaire for self-assessing the current status of SMA and monitoring the disease over time. - VITAL SIGNS: Recording and displaying the most important vital signs in the treatment of SMA: body weight, body mass index, and vital lung capacity. - REPORT MEDICATION NEEDS: If you need medication, you can use the app to notify your SMA coordinators of this need. - REPORT ASSISTIVE DEVICE NEEDS: If you need assistive devices, you can also use the app to notify your SMA coordinators of this need. - OVERVIEW OF ASSISTIVE DEVICE PROVISIONS: All current and past assistive device provisions are displayed. - SCAN AND UPLOAD FUNCTION: Doctor’s notes, prescriptions, and photos related to your care situation can be scanned or captured and uploaded to your patient account on the APST portal.
